Very interesting account by The Aviationist of the path of Air Force One on 9/11 as it left Florida and moved around the country before returning to Washington. A very good example of “the fog of war”.

It’s a pretty interesting story, but it’s so poorly written it makes it hard to read. :/

Also, I don't know whether to be scared or disappointed that Air Force One went for so long without an escort that day. That's just mind boggling to me.

Yeah, the Aviationist could use a copy editor.

Even though it was only 15 years ago, 2001 seems like such a different world. Post Cold War, but pre-9/11. Primitive cell phones, no Facebook, no Twitter, no YouTube.

Makes me glad I went to high school in that era and not now.
